Expanded Features

Exporters

The new “10+2” Importer Security Filing requirements proposed by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security requires importers to provide 10 data elements 24 hours prior to loading cargo onto a U.S. bound water-borne shipping vessel, and 2 additional messages from their carriers within 48 hours of vessel departure.

Order Management

Enables response to purchase orders and setting of initial terms and conditions. Manage sales orders directly or integrate orders from third-party ordering systems. Capabilities include consolidation of multiple orders into a single transaction and splitting individual orders into multiple transactions.

Export Document Management

Automates the management of export shipment document production and distribution. Country pairing profiles and business partner profiles determine statement/clause use, logos or format use, and distribution requirements. The process automatically creates an export transaction audit trail with a complete document archive.

Restricted-Party Screening

Provides automated screening of parties to an export transaction against numerous lists of restricted or denied parties defined by the country of export. The screening engine provides a flexible algorithm-based tool to compare shipment parties to multiple lists, producing alerts and workflow changes for any potential match.

Screened lists include the BIS Denied Persons List (United States Bureau of Industry and Security, Department of Commerce), OFAC Specially Designated Nationals (Office of Foreign Assets Control, United States Treasury), Japanese Proliferation Concerns, and United Nations Sanctions List, among many others.

End-Use and End-User Screening

Determines if a party’s profile allows shipment. Typically includes areas not covered by the export compliance process, including Red Flag Checklist, Diversion Risk Questions, Anti-Boycott Questions, and others.

Export License Control and Management

Reviews export shipments for license requirements or exceptions using shipment data (country of destination, product data), related country profiles, end-use, and product classification. After a license control is determined, the solution supports the management of export licenses. Licenses are created and managed against quantity values or expiration. The Enhanced Proliferation Control Initiative (EPCI) is supported through embargo and anti-boycott screening.

Customs Filing

Communicates shipment and product information to appropriate customs authorities and monitors acceptance of filing, with proactive alerts to potential filing issues. Automatically files an electronic SED (Shippers Export Declaration) to customs filing (such as AES).

Classification and Global Parts Catalog

Provides a mechanism for HTS/ECCN product classification (Harmonized Tariff Schedule and Export Control Classification Number) and other status checks required for compliance and logistics. Designed to act as either a standalone parts master for the management of product details or as a supplemental source for product classification. The catalog includes data related to other governmental agency (OGA) requirements, trade agreements (including NAFTA), assists, quotas, and many other details.

Web-based Architecture

Access from any Web browser. All applications are standards-based and highly scalable. XML-based integration model supports seamless inbound and outbound data sharing with third-party applications.

24×7 TradeBeam-managed EDI and application support. Experienced TradeBeam implementation support setup and training.
