International Retailer Redcats USA Partners with TradeBeam on GTM Initiative

Collaborative Platform to Drive Leading Home Shopping Company’s Global Supply Chain

San Mateo, CA, August 30, 2005—TradeBeam, Inc. the leading provider of Global Trade Management (GTM) software and services, announced today the completion of a new customer agreement with Redcats USA. The agreement calls for the use of several applications within TradeBeam’s GTM product suite to form the platform for collaborating with hundreds of supply chain partners and managing the flow of goods around the globe.

Redcats USA is a subsidiary of Redcats, the home shopping division of PPR. With 30 mail order catalogs and over 60 Web sites in 18 countries, Redcats services customers on 3 continents; making PPR a global powerhouse in home shopping and Redcats the world’s third largest home shopping company. Redcats USA has three divisions including value-priced misses’ fashion, women’s and men’s plus-size apparel, and home lifestyles. The company has numerous well-known brands in its distinguished portfolio: Chadwick’s, Lerner Catalog, Jessica London, Lane Bryant Catalog, Roaman’s, KingSize, BrylaneHome, BrylaneHome Kitchen, BrylaneHome Wishes and La Redoute USA.

With a multi-channel distribution system that combines catalog and e-commerce sites, Redcats USA was looking for a flexible, globally accessible solution capable of adapting to changing business requirements, particularly in the area of business partner screening. TradeBeam’s solution provides Redcats USA with a platform for managing data related to these processes and performing automated screening checks each time a purchase order is issued. It is expected that these security checks will help ensure Redcats USA is conducting business with parties that meet company standards such as C-TPAT authorization, vendor quality compliance and social compliance and other issues.

“Redcats USA wanted to enhance the level of visibility and workflow control over all of our orders and shipments regardless of origin or mode of transport in order to drive goods through the supply chain in the most efficient manner possible. TradeBeam’s GTM suite allows us to address all of these needs through one integrated solution,” said Chip E. Edgington, senior vice president of Operations and Fulfillment for Redcats USA.

Specific applications being used by Redcats USA include Order Management, Event Management, Multi-Mode Shipment Processing, and the Business Partner Screening piece. Together, they form a collaborative platform for working with supply chain participants ranging from buyer to vendor to logistics service provider. “We have been very proactive in working with a large, rapidly evolving supplier landscape around the world; those parties must be screened effectively to protect the quality of our brands and ensure support of compliance with government regulations and programs,” said Peter Huie, vice president of Logistics for Redcats USA.

The expected benefits from the GTM initiative include increased control over variability of global shipments that should result in a significant reduction in the amount of expedited freight. Through improved logistics management, Redcats USA also expects to see a reduction in back orders and administrative costs.

“We are very pleased to have been selected as the technology platform to drive Redcats USA’s global supply chain,” said Graham R.F. Napier, president and CEO of TradeBeam. “Major retailers like Redcats USA are at the forefront of GTM’s evolution, and we look forward to building a long-term partnership that helps the company accelerate the path toward home-shopping leadership worldwide.”
