Senior Implementation Manager, San Mateo
Implementation Manager position responsible for leading implementations of Global Trade Management (GTM) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) software engagements. This role is central to the success of TradeBeam’s effort to build global enterprise relationships with Global 2000 companies in global trade management.
As an Implementation Manager, your mission is to work with customers to develop, test, train, and implement GTM and SCM software solutions. This position will offer you the opportunity to demonstrate your business process improvement, project management, client management and technical expertise.
Our ideal candidate will have, at a minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Information Systems or other related disciplines. A minimum of five years combined work experience in enterprise software implementation, project management and business process consulting. Formal project management experience required, including leading large-scale engagements with global 2000 companies. GTM and/or SCM domain expertise strongly preferred. Excellent project management skills, business process consulting skills, and the ability to prepare detailed software solution specifications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Masters degree is a bonus.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as a key project lead coordinating all customer-related activities among all departments at TradeBeam, including Technical Professional Services, Operations, QA, Engineering, and Customer Support.
- Lead software implementations from start to finish using the TradeBeam Professional Services implementation methodology, including defining and managing scope, leading business requirements gathering and solution design workshops, managing customer and internal resources to configure and build the software solution, implementation planning and transition to customer support.
- Create key documentation in support of implementations, including Statements of Work, Customer Contracts, Project Plans, Solution Design Documents, and project financial documentation such as Professional Services Invoices.
- Develop tools, methodologies, and standards for delivering effective, efficient, and scalable customer solutions.
- Act as a point of escalation and develop strong relationships with key customers. Assist in developing referenceable customers.
- Provide regular internal and external status reports on the progress of customer of implementations.
- Ensure a smooth hand-off of major accounts from implementation into continuing support and operations, as well as from Sales and Pre-Sales to the Professionals Services group.
- Work with the Director of Professional Services to provide timely progress reports on project financial status, including billable hours, invoicing, and estimates to complete.
- Drive excellence within the department by continuously providing constructive feedback on process improvements, individual/team behavior, and interactions.
- Contribute to the operational objectives & develop an execution plan and vision for the professional services team in conjunction with the Director of Professional Services.
Job Requirements
- A minimum of five years combined work experience in enterprise software implementation, project management and business process consulting.
- Project Management and Business Analysis experience with large scale enterprise deployments.
- Technical familiarity with hosted solutions and enterprise integrations.
- Excellent client communication skills, including ability to set and manage customer expectations.
- Excellent analysis, problem-solving and negotiation skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in an environment with constrained resources.
- Position based in San Mateo, California.
- Bachelor’s degree required, Engineering or other technical major helpful but not required. MBA or related technical graduate degree helpful.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of international trade processes, banking trade services and trade finance, regulatory content, SCM, GTM, inventory/materials management, and purchasing. APICS familiarity a plus.
- Knowledge of technology, network infrastructure & interface requirements associated with software integrations.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 50%.
