Messaging Lead
General Duties
Will be responsible for the definition of the technical solution and technical oversight of the implementation for all enterprise application integrations. The person will be additionally responsible for promoting industry standard methodologies and best practices throughout the solution design and implementation process.
Position Requirements
- BS/MS/PhD in EE/CS degree or equivalent with 10+ years of system integration experience with 7+ years experience with EDI and other standards based b2b messaging solutions
- Demonstrated experience in defining clear separations between the integration and application tiers
- Experience in evaluation of design tradeoffs and performance, fault tolerance, and scalability in large system design
- Experience with Enterprise Application Integration products such as WebMethods required, and others such as Tibco, See Beyond, BEA, Vitria, etc. a plus
- Experience with integrations specifically to SAP and Oracle ERP systems as well as other major logistics carriers required
- Strong understanding of OAGIS, X12 and other transport protocols and formats required
- Demonstrated experience of web services and service based design principles required
- Strong understanding of JMS and other messaging technologies such as MQ Series
- Familiarity and understanding of van integrations a plus
- Familiarity with n-tier systems based on J2EE architecture components a plus
- Prior experience working with or for a large system integrator in their EAI practice preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Must be able to effectively communicate and demonstrate complex technical concepts
- Must have demonstrated ability to mentor less experienced engineers
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with unix operating systems and source control technologies
- Experience with supply chain principles, a plus
